Lisa Dowlen Autry
Lisa earned her Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in 1992. After working a few years in Human Resources, she attended law school with an emphasis on employment law. Lisa graduated from Baylor School of Law in 1999, ranking #1 in her graduating class. She served as Executive Editor of the Baylor Law Review and participated in national competitions, including Moot Court and Mock Trial. Lisa was a recipient of various distinctions, awards, and scholarships. After law school, she served as a Briefing Attorney to the Honorable James A. Baker, Justice for the Texas Supreme Court. She worked in litigation and client counseling for Baker Botts and Rose Walker.
Before joining Newhouse + Noblin, Lisa specialized in employment law and employment litigation, both in law firms and in executive level in-house counsel positions. Most recently, Lisa served as employment law counsel for Intel Corporation and McAfee, Inc. Before Intel, she served as the first General Counsel of Pinnacle Group, a privately-held staffing company that consistently ranks as one of the fastest growing woman-owned companies in the U.S.
Lisa’s experience in employment law and in the staffing industry gives her unique insight into the recruiting and staffing needs of her clients. Lisa directs Newhouse + Noblin Practice Support’s contract, temporary, and managed services practices, as well as assisting with permanent legal and executive searches.
Lisa has also been a frequent speaker at seminars and can provide training sessions on staffing and hiring that may offer CLE credits for attorneys and HR certification credits for HR professionals.
