Newhouse + Noblin LLC.

Category: In The Community

The founders and recruiters of Newhouse + Noblin are active members in their respective communities, neighborhoods, schools, and churches. As a firm, we have a commitment to volunteer or make a monetary donation every month to a cause we care about. Whether it is making 500 sandwiches for the Soup Mobile in Dallas or collecting books for Houston school children, we feel it is important to share our resources. Some of the amazing charitable organizations that we have the privilege of supporting are highlighted below.

Medical Bridges

This month our Houston team worked with Medical Bridges, sorting medical supplies to be distributed to locations in need of medical assistance around the world. Medical Bridges recovers medical surplus that would otherwise be discarded and redistributes it to hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers in less fortunate countries with the goal of bridging the gap in care. VNA Meals on Wheels

In November 2013, Newhouse + Noblin’s Dallas team drove delivery routes for Meals on Wheels. All around us are seniors in desperate need of nutritious meals and human contact. VNA volunteers and staff work through the Meals on Wheels program to serve qualified homebound seniors and disabled adults, helping them remain in their homes with dignity and independence.

VNA’s Meals on Wheels provides nutritious, freshly prepared, hot meals to Dallas County residents who can’t provide for themselves due to illness, advanced age or disability. To learn how you can volunteer for this vital community service, click here.

Newhouse + Noblin Supports SoupMobile

In October, Newhouse + Noblin’s Dallas team prepared and delivered over 500 snack packs to the SoupMobile. SoupMobile is a Dallas based charity that not only strives to feed the area’s homeless with food, but to also “feed” them with love, caring, compassion and shelter. We have been privileged to help in this cause many times over the past two years, and thanks to the efforts of the SoupMobile and its volunteers, over 200,000 meals were provided last year to Dallas’ homeless.

Star of Hope

In August our Houston team donated back-to-school supplies to Star of Hope. The school supplies were distributed to homeless children at Star of Hope’s annual “Back-to-School Back Pack Party.” For more information about Star of Hope’s programs and ways to help, please click here.

BEAR Graduation

In June our Houston team supported the BEAR Graduation Celebration. The mission of BEAR is to “Be a Resource for CPS Kids.” The program honors youth in the Preparation for Adult Living Program who are aging out of the Foster Care System. It was truly a pleasure doing business with Kelly. It is rare to work with a firm and a person who is and has been on top of this project from the first email. She was a great partner and it is rare to find that kind of diligence in the world of recruiting.
