In April 2013, Newhouse + Noblin’s Houston team partnered with Kids’ Meals, a group that prepares and delivers healthy lunches to over 1,700 hungry pre-school aged children living in poverty in the Houston area. Kids’ Meals bridges the gap for 1-5 year old kids who are too old for services from organizations such as WIC and not yet old enough to receive free breakfast and lunch in school. Last month, Newhouse + Noblin made a donation to Heroes for Children, which focuses on relieving some of the strain and stress on families who have a child diagnosed with cancer. Whether it is to pay a medical bill, buy gas for frequent hospital trips, or to keep a family from having its electricity turned off, HFC is there to help. HFC’s enables a family to focus on the most important part of treatment–the child. To learn more about HFC and how you can help, click here.
In December 2012, Newhouse + Noblin procured and donated needed supplies to the Interfaith Housing Coalition. Through the years, a broad coalition of individuals, foundations, churches, and service groups have joined the ministry, effectively leveraging volunteer, in-kind and financial resources throughout the community.
