Newhouse + Noblin is excited to announce the inaugural year of an innovative program to help prepare the next generation of legal leadership for their futures. If you know an attorney who you would consider the next Next-Gen of Legal Leadership in Houston, we are accepting nominations between November 15 and December 1. NEXT-GEN LEGAL LEADERS OF HOUSTON
Newhouse + Noblin’s Next-Gen Legal Leaders of Houston program is designed for those individuals viewed by their peers and supervisors as being on the cusp of senior leadership positions. The goal of the program is to arm the next generation of Houston’s legal leadership with the skills to find and excel in positions of authority in in-house legal departments.
The program is a one-year commitment with an event each quarter. Events focus on the importance of a peer network, accounting basics for lawyers, a business leader’s expectations for their general counsel, and leadership principles.
Class members must commit to attend all four events. Each event will last approximately two hours. A full schedule will be provided with the application.
November 15, 2018—December 1, 2018: Nominations accepted
December 3, 2018: Applications sent to nominated individuals
December 31, 2018: Applications due
January 15, 2018: Class announced
So that the class members can get the most out of the program, the class size will be limited. Candidates must be nominated by a peer or superior. Once a candidate has been nominated, a short application will be completed. From the application pool a class of future legal leaders will be selected.
