Christa White

Christa graduated from the University of Alberta Law School in 2003, where she led a team of students providing legal services to low-income clients, for which she received the S.C. McGoey Memorial Award. She previously received her Baccalaureate of Social Science from the University of Ottawa, graduating with distinction cum laude.

Christa was a criminal litigator for over 13 years, initially as a criminal defense lawyer, and then as a district attorney in Calgary, Alberta. Christa specialized in complex and technical trial work, detailed resolutions and appellate advocacy.

Christa found her true calling in legal recruitment. She first joined The Counsel Network in Vancouver, British Columbia, specializing in associate recruitment for law firms and in-house attorney positions. She has developed close client relationships, providing in-depth consultation on associate retention, compensation structure and succession planning. Christa is a trusted advisor dedicated to providing thorough market guidance and career advice to associates.
