After a pandemic pause, Newhouse + Noblin’s Houston office is excited to relaunch its second class of Next Gen Legal Leaders by adding a few new members to the cohort! Think of it as Next Gen 2.1 (the post covid edition!). Newhouse + Noblin’s Next Gen Legal Leaders is designed to prepare in-house professionals for senior leadership roles. If you know anyone with 10+ years of legal experience that you view as a future leader, we would love to hear from you! In order to nominate a future leader, what we need from you is the person’s name, title/employer, and email address. Once nominations are received, we will reach out to the nominees with a short questionnaire to learn more about them and to share the details of the year-long program. We are excited to add a few new members to our pre-covid class!
NEXT-GEN LEGAL LEADERS OF HOUSTON – Class 2.1
Newhouse + Noblin’s Next-Gen Legal Leaders of Houston program is designed for those individuals viewed by their peers and supervisors as being on the cusp of senior leadership positions. In particular, our class members are either at the Assistant/Associate General Counsel level and/or have 10+ years of legal experience. The goal of the program is to arm the next generation of Houston’s legal leaders with the skills to find and excel in positions of authority as part of in-house legal departments.
The program is a one-year commitment with an event each quarter. Events focus on the importance of a peer network, business basics for lawyers, a business leader’s expectations for their lawyers, and leadership principles.
Class members must commit to attend all four events. Each event will last approximately two hours. A full schedule will be provided with the application.
June 1- July 2, 2021: Nominations accepted
July 6, 2021: Applications sent to nominated individuals
July 30, 2021: Applications due
August 13, 2021: Class announced
This year’s nominees will join an amazing class that was nominated pre-pandemic. All class members will get to participate in a full schedule of events. Candidates must be nominated by a peer, superior, internal client, or other contact. Once a candidate has been nominated, a short application will be completed. From the application pool a class of future legal leaders will be selected.
To nominate someone with approximately 10+ years of experience, please send an email to Alicia Hinds at firstname.lastname@example.org or Beth Walker at email@example.com with the name, position held/employer, and email address of the nominee.
